VISION: Community service can be the catalyst that opens wide the doors of the school, welcoming neighbors, parents and other supporters in and allowing students out to embark safely upon projects to improve their neighborhood.
Community Connections is a program of Parkrose High School. The program is supported by the Oregon State Service Corps, which provided an AmeriCorps Member to serve as the program developer in 2006-07. In May 2007, OSSC announced additional AmeriCorps support for 2007-08.
Community Connections is an entry point for parents, neighbors and alumni of diverse cultural and economic backgrounds to work together for the benefit of young people and their futures. Volunteers are welcome!
Community Connections also serves as a bridge for youth seeking service opportunities. Students are welcome visitors to the office located in the Student Center, next to the SUN Community School. Stop by to review current volunteer postings or get advice about organizing your own service project.
